BlueHostAs a website designer, and a blogger, I’m always dealing with different web hosting companies. I try to stay on top of who’s offering what, and what it all means to you and me.

There have been times that I’ve had to deal with different hosting companies to either, solve a problem a client is having, or to get a current site moved to another hosting company. I can’t believe how difficult some companies are to navigate through their admin panel. BlueHost uses CPanel 11. I’ve only come across a few others that use this. It’s so easy to find your way around and get things done.

Hostgator, Lunarpages, and HostMonster are the others I’ve seen. I’m sure there are some others, but I haven’t found them. By the way, HostMonster is a subsidiary of BlueHost.

GoDaddy had me pulling my hair out trying to get to their DNS pointers. The only thing I’ve found good about GoDaddy is their sexy advertisements. Just goes to show you, Sex Sells!

I’ve done a number of comparison searches, and BlueHost is always in the top 5, and usually at the number one spot.

There are a couple of key factors I always look at.

Reliability - BlueHost always guarantees from 99.9% to maximum server uptime. They use the latest technology, which includes high performance servers for your hosting needs. In the event the power supply is discontinued, they have generators, UPS power back-up, and stored back-up to keep your site running at all times.

Customer Support - They provide 24/7 technical support by phone, email, chat, and provide a thorough knowledgebase to look through. I had a major problem just a couple of weeks ago. I was on the phone with tech support for over a half an hour. This tech went way out of his way to help me. I can’t tell you how much time he saved me with his willingness to go the extra mile.

There you have it. I’m not only a supporter of BlueHost, but I’m also a customer of over 2 years now. I can honestly say I’ve never had any problems with them at all.

So, if you’re looking for web hosting, check them out!
